Aevion Spencer Blackwell Obituary

* January 1, 1972 - † July 24, 2007

BLACKWELL, Aevion S. age 35 of Wilmington, Ohio, native of Wales, died unexpectedly from injuries sustained from an automobile accident Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in Greene County, Ohio on his way to Rugby practice. Born January 1, 1972 in Nantwich, England, he was the son of Eric and Chris (Shuck) Blackwell.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Lyon Blackwell, his parents Eric and Chris Blackwell, his sister Emma Blackwell, his brother Stephen and sister-in-law Jane Blackwell, his nephew Joe Blackwell, niece Isabelle Blackwell and dear family member Saira Rossaye.

Aevion`s passion was Rugby and he was known within the Rugby community as a formidable, instigating and cheeky player. He developed his skills on the pitch in Wales playing for the USK RFC and continued to play in the United States for the Queen City Rugby Club, the Wolfhounds and the Traveling Team known as the Gypsies. Aevion also enjoyed soccer, snow skiing, riding his Peruvian Horses and was recently training for a triathalon.

He is survived by his horses Reulto, Lafitte and Bolivar, his dogs Bear, Gidget and Opie and his cats Jackie Chan and Roscoe and many other family members and dear friends.

Aevion received an MBA in International Masters in Management from Purdue University Krannert Graduate School of Management USA, Tias School of Management Tilburg University The Netherlands, CEU Central European University Budapest, Hungary and Gisma Business School Hanover, Germany. His Master of Science from Brunel and Loughborough University and his Global Marketing Certification, Newport University and his Bachelor of Science (Honors) from Swansea in Chemistry and Management Science.

A private family service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00am at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held by the Rugby community at the Wolfhound Field on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 3:00pm on the pitch. A memorial service and interment will be held in Usk, Wales shortly. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers should be sent directly to Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A Rugby Memorial Award is being planned in the future. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stine Kilburn Funeral Home, 801 Monroe Road, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
